Question What rock do I use for a new driveway? ::
3/4" or 1" roadbase are great. They compact down so it doesn't all get plowed up in the winter when snow is being removed. A good base to start is 4" thick. You can always also consider a concrete or asphalt driveway too.
Question What rock do I use for an existing driveway? ::
1" screen or pea rock will work if your driveway doesn't get plowed. If you plan on plowing your driveway, you'll need 3/4" roadbase, 1" roadbase or recycled asphalt, which all compact and won't get removed with the snow when plowed.
